Is the hosting on a shared or dedicated server?
The 2 lower tiers share a server. The upper tiers have dedicated servers with separate database servers for performance. Customised hosting options can also be discussed. We are flexible.

What makes Product Data Engine different to other PIM / PLM / DAM systems?
Firstly we are not a PIM, PLM or DAM system. We are a system that generates intelligent part numbering schemes.

Is there any ‘how-to’ documentation?
Yes, upon purchasing the product you will be sent an onboarding pack with training videos and documents. Additionally, within the product itself, there are links to training docs and videos from various points.

How do users access the system?
Product Data Engine is a cloud based system that can be accessed through the web using a URL and logging in with a username and password. The main system is used to define and generate product all valid part numbers for your product ranges and series. You can follow whatever part numbering structure you prefer. […]

Are there different user access levels?
Yes, you can set various levels of user access for different departments or team members, so that only certain functions or product ranges can be used by specified people.

Can I cherry-pick features from higher plans?
This can be discussed as part of your package.

Yes, however this would incur extra costs.

Can you offer further training if needed?
We provide initial onboarding training to get you up and running. Additional customised training is available at an extra cost.

How is the training delivered?
Training is delivered via Zoom in groups of up to 5. Training sessions are included – see pricing table.

What are the payment terms?
Payment will be subscription based and will be taken from a nominated card monthly. If you opt for annual payments then we can invoice you and payment will be required within 30 days of invoice date.
